You can take up to 13 pills per day before reaching the max amount of your RDA Iodine.
For people with joint and arthritis pain, back pain start with 2 pills per day. Many people find that 4 to 6 pills per day works. You can adjust the amount as needed. You can spread taking the pills over the course of the day, for example after meals. You should allow at least 4--6 weeks or longer to feel results. Some people need several months for relief.
For skin problems such as dry skin, scaly skin, flaking skin or psoriasis, Many people find that 2 -3 pills per day works, but you may adjust as needed.. Some people see results in as little as 2 weeks but this can vary greatly.
For fingernails, hair loss (yes, it can grow hair if follicles are not dead), Start with 2- 4 pills per day. You may see results in 4 to 6 weeks. If no results increase dose.

If you are new to kelp, you should purchase a container that will last long enough to see results. Usually 4 to 8 weeks. The recommended doses can be divided over the course of the day. Give recommended doses once a day. If the animal doesn't like the taste of the kelp, you can disguise the taste. For example, put the kelp inside a peanut butter sandwich.
Doses are determined by the weight of the animal. A scoop is equal to a teaspoon.
Small breeds & youngsters under 6 lbs. Mix 1/2 scoop with food.
Small breeds & youngsters 7-lbs. To 25 lbs. Mix one level scoop with food. A 1 lb. container will last apex. 5 months.
Larger breeds & youngsters 25 lbs to 70 lbs. Mix two level scoops with food. A 2 lb. container will last apex. 5 months.
Large breeds over 70 lbs. Mix three level scoops with food. A 5 lb. container will last apex. 8 months.
Pregnant or Nursing Animals. Add 1/2 scoop to above feeding level for small breeds.
For larger breeds add one scoop to above levels.
NOTE, like most food products, introduce our supplements slowly into your pets diet, increasing to the recommended level over the first two or three weeks so your pets can accustom themselves to new taste and odors.

NOTE, Feeding instructions for best results: Introduce Norwegian Kelp gradually, using 1 tsp. the 1st week, 2 tsp. the 2nd week, and so on. Sprinkle Granular Norwegian Kelp evenly into feed. If using all dry feed, then you should mix the kelp with sugar water so kelp will adhere to feed. Water activates the kelp so it must be consumed within 24 hours.

The human serving dosage is 4 caplets a day with the dog serving adjusted according to their weight. Dogs: up to 25--1 caplet daily; 25 to 55 lbs--2 caplets daily; 55 to 85 lbs.--3 caplets daily; over 85 lbs--4 caplets daily.
