The chief source of nutrients in Kelp for
horses is the Norwegian Kelp
(Ascophyllum Nodosum.) This high quality Kelp is one of Nature’s richest
sources of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. It contains over 12 vitamins,
60 major and trace minerals and 20 key amino acids. All naturally balanced
nutrients which give your horse what they need most: reliable fortification.
Norwegian Kelp helps to reduce stress, improve the general health,
digestion, condition of skin, pigmentation, improves condition of hooves and
gives your horse a nice, shiny coat. Great for show horses!
Many of the trace minerals contained in Norwegian Kelp act as building
blocks of a wide range of enzymes, which maintain the proper functioning of
all the body’s vital systems. This enzymatic action of Norwegian Kelp helps
to extract the maximum nourishment from the feed and to digest them
completely. Horses on Norwegian Kelp tend to eat less grain and roughage
because they need less when their feed is fully utilized through the
digestive action of Norwegian Kelp. This saves you money on your feed bill.
The minerals in Norwegian Kelp are present in a NATURALLY ORGANIC chelated
form, which makes them more readily available for digestion and
assimilation. Chelated minerals maintain the required mineral balance during
stress, heavy activity and prevent unnecessary deficiencies. Pregnant or
lactating mares will have healthier offspring with less health problems.
It is well known that the animal’s body can tolerate higher concentrations
of “organic” minerals and vitamins than “inorganic”. The fact that low
concentrations of “organic” elements are just as effective as high
concentrations of “inorganic” elements means that the animal’s needs can be
satisfied with Norwegian Kelp without the danger of poisoning or of making
other elements unavailable.
Norwegian Kelp is safe and effective for pregnant and lactating mares at the
recommended feeding levels. Do not exceed recommended dosage.
FEEDING INSTRUCTION FOR BEST RESULTS: Introduce Norwegian Kelp gradually,
using 1 tsp. the 1st week, 2 tsp. the 2nd week, and so on. Sprinkle Granular
Norwegian Kelp evenly into feed. If using all-dry feed, then you should mix
the Kelp with sugar water so Kelp will adhere to food. Water activates the
Kelp so it must be consumed with 24 hours.

A satisfied user says;
Dear Kelp Product Of Florida,
The difference that your kelp has made in
our horses is almost magical! After putting our horses on kelp, we found
that their overall condition improved noticeably, although it had not
appeared to need any improvement at all. Their energy level increased
dramatically, but without getting them the least bit “hot” as other products my friends and I have used. They had more “go” without losing their manners. We have one horse
whose hoof wall in front are prone to cracking. The problem began to correct
itself after feeding the kelp for three weeks or so, long before the hoof
had grown out. This was in the absence of special treatments, dressings,
shoeing, etc. Apparently this horse was missing something he needing to
synthesize growth of hoof wall, and the kelp corrected it.
Thank you so much!
